Domaine des Tuileries, Les Crayères 2020

Domaine des Tuileries is a fresh artisan venture launched by winemaker Bryan Marx in the village of Venteuil, in Champagne’s Vallée de la Marne. Drawing from 1.5 ha of selected plots from his family’s holdings, Bryan crafts each cuvée with barrel-fermentation, zero dosage and full focus on terroir. The wines reflect chalk-rich soils, low intervention and an unmistakable sense of place.  Les Crayères 2020 is made from the classic Champagne blend of 45% Chardonnay, 45% Pinot Noir and 10% Meunier. The grapes were hand-harvested and aged on lees for 3 years prior to disgorgement. Fine lemon gold with a persistent, delicate mousse. On the nose: crisp green apple, honeysuckle and chalk dust with a subtle brioche note. The palate is elegant and dry, with bright citrus zest, pressed pear, stony minerality and a clean, lingering finish. A refined, modern Champagne that balances purity and depth, perfect now and in the coming years.
